From necrotizing cellulitis to gentle recovery—with your help 💛
Dear friends, family, and Buboy’s Backers,
We’re so grateful to share that since Buboy’s post-op checkup last June 14, he’s been steadily healing. His wound has been responding well to our daily honey dressings, and although we’re still not completely out of the woods, we’ve officially moved past the critical stage.

The raw tissue has started to dry and strengthen in most areas, though some spots remain sensitive—especially near the ear and lower edges where his bandage slips when he scratches. We now use sterile gauze and honey dressings, secured with elastic bandages, which arrived today—yay! These should be much more comfortable and stable for Buboy as he continues to recover.

Some medication we were able to purchase for Buboy’s month-long needs from our friends at Furry Tails. Thanks to you, Buboy is well-stocked for the month!

We can get used to looking at this cutiepie’s helmet bandage. Not sure he fully supports the look but at this point, he’s got no choice. (June 14 photo)

But thanks to you, we were able to get him better bandages—breathable, elastic and a bit more fashionable than regular ones. These serve him well as it helps him avoid scratching his bandages. We had struggled with him being too smart for his own good but hopefully these better bandages will stay on longer. (June 21 photo)
🐾 The latest win: His appetite is fierce (he eats like an elephant 🐘), and his daily meds are going down smoothly—especially with his treats that are now full-on meals! After every wound care session and medication round, Buboy adorably waits (and politely demands 😅) for his treatos, wagging his tail like a windshield wiper on turbo mode. His spirit is strong, his eyes full of life again.
